NATURAL PLACES
The Water Box:
It is a cavern of great proportions, formed by an underground detour from the ravine that bears the same name. To go through it all you have to have half an hour and a very powerful flashlight, since absolute darkness reigns inside.
Broken the window:
Ravine that offers freshness with its abundant waters and deep cliffs, is visited by the neighbors for being a place of recreation. His
water is fed into a new municipal aqueduct. There is a bridge of old construction that still provides the service between Paicol and La Plata.
The cavern:
At the entrance of La caverna you can see a beautiful landscape formed by the same waterfall -in a fall of 30 m- and by small plants (flowers and shrubs that provide a perfect harmony to the environment.
Paez River:
The municipality is surrounded by the waters of the Páez River and different streams that flow into it, making it a spectacular place for practicing sports such as rafting, caving, rappelling or hiking.
La Motilona Waterfall:
located in La Vereda La Laja, 5 km from Paicol, it stands out for the richness and variety of landscapes due to the geomorphological characteristics of the area, which facilitate the formation of waterfalls, deep moyas and caves.
The delights:
Place of crystalline waters that when sliding down steep rocks form small waterfalls and beautiful natural pools used frequently by the people of Paicol because it is so close to the town.
