This important tributary of the Magdalena is born in the Nevado del Huila at 4,500 meters above sea level and passes very close to the town of Paicol, a point where strong rapids form that will make you get goose bumps.
And if you are a beginner, do not worry, the river has two sections, one with a slight difficulty, suitable for learners and another, (that of the rapids) in which the adventurers will have to have greater mastery and experience in the subject.
Do not forget to put on appropriate clothing, comfortable clothing and with which you can get wet. These forays into the river are usually made in the company of specialized guides. It is possible that with a wave the canoe will turn over, but there is nothing to fear, since you will always be equipped with a life jacket and helmet, you just have to follow the guide's instructions and get back on the boat.
